Award voor booklet?
The folks over at Engadget have revealed their shortlist for the 2009 Engadget Awards. And Nokia has landed in three different categories. The N900 is up for both Gadget of the Year and the Smartphone of the Year. Also landing in the list is the Nokia Booklet 3G which has been shortlisted in the Netbook of the Year category.

GPS op je netbook
De nieuwe versie van Nokia Ovi Maps met gratis navigatie is sinds de lancering 1,4 miljoen keer gedownload. Dat meldt de fabrikant zelf op haar website. De naivigatiesoftware werkt vooralsnog slechts op een beperkt aantal toestellen. Op 31 januari werd de applicatie het meest gedownload in China, Italië, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Duitsland en Spanje. Ovi Maps werd het meest gedownloads op de Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia N97, Nokia 5230 en Nokia E72. Vanaf maart zullen alle nieuwe GPS-enabled smartphones verkocht worden met een nieuwe versie van Ovi Maps uitgerust met een kaart van het betreffende land.
